My Goals as a GRF Board Member
In the next three years I will strive to continue to:
● Control spending.
● Improve communication between residents and GRF.
● Maintain and enhance Rossmoor amenities.
● Ensure that Rossmoor remains attractive to future generations of retirees.
As a candidate for reelection to the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) Board of Directors, I respectfully ask for your nomination and vote. First, a little bit about me.
My husband, Marc and I have lived in Rossmoor for eight years. We moved here from Pleasant Hill where we lived for 35 years while raising a family. I have always valued being involved in my community. In Pleasant Hill my goal was to enhance local education through a non-profit foundation I co-created, civic organizations, and other groups. I learned that I have the ability and energy to impart positive changes that affect many.
I attribute my success as a community advocate to the organizational and analytical skills that I utilized in my professional life. My career as an analyst required me to assess situations at both high and extremely detailed levels, spot inefficiencies or excesses, redesign processes, create group cohesion, and define steps toward a solution, while keeping within fiscal requirements. These skills are essential to helping manage and direct the GRF toward the future.
I have achieved great personal satisfaction through my active Rossmoor life. I thoroughly enjoy living here. I have had the pleasure of being involved with multiple clubs, enjoying Rossmoor facilities and events, and following GRF governance. All of those avenues have given me a wonderful sense of community. These past eight years I have found new ways to affect change that benefits others. Some of those changes include streamlining club procedures for efficiency, analyzing club expenditures, inviting new Rossmoor residents to participate in club activities in order to help them assimilate into our community, increasing membership in clubs which resulted in a more dynamic club life, instituting ‘out-of-the-box’ strategies to enhance club membership, and increasing communication between club boards, membership, and residents. Additionally, through Rossmoor Lions Club, those efforts resulted in increased fundraising which then greatly benefited people in need beyond Rossmoor.
This is a wonderful community that is governed well. I respectfully seek your vote so that I can help ensure that Rossmoor remains a valued and desirable place to live. Thank you.
